The Dearborn Hockey Association offers various youth programs for all ages and all levels of play. The following are what we commonly offer throughout the year. If you have questions about how to register or what program would be best suited for your player, please contact one of the coaches below for more information. 

Our Intro Programs:

Learn to Skate (Offered at the DISC):

This program isn't technically a Dearborn Hockey Program, but it is important to mention. The Dearborn Ice Skating Center (DISC) regularly has Learn to Skate sessions for all ages. This is the best option for anyone who is completely new to skating and hockey. These programs have ice time once a week and have a set fee. Skates are required, rentals are available, and helmets are strongly recommended.

Learn to Play Hockey

This program is for 5 to 10-year-olds who have competency with skating and are ready to learn and develop hockey skills. This is a once-a-week program that spans 6-7 weeks and is usually offered in the fall, winter, and spring. 

Full hockey equipment is required, and for those who are unsure of the level of interest of their child.  Sets equipment can be borrowed from the DHA for a returnable deposit and skate rental from the DISC is also available. The cost of this program is a set fee  for the entire program and covers all ice time and instruction.

Little Red Wings program

This is a limited program that runs simultaneously with the Learn to Play program but is operated through the Detroit Red Wings and NHL. The program for one fee gets your child a full set of equipment, ice time, and instruction.

Spring League Hockey

Spring hockey is a great FIRST try for anyone ready to play on a Dearborn Mustangs house team. The season runs from April until the end of May. It consists of a couple of practices and a slate of games. Registration with the DHA is required, as well as USA Hockey. This is a fully sanctioned league. Teams will skate 1-2x a week.

Dearborn Mustangs Hockey (USA Hockey, MAHA)

Dearborn Mustangs hockey is the premier hockey organization in the Dearborn and Dearborn Heights area. We have coed teams from the 6U to the 14U level. We have specialized skating, skills, and goalie coaches. We also have travel teams at select birth years. 

Our House (Rec) teams start in late August - early September, and play games from October thru the end of March. These teams skate 2 - 3 times a week.
